Douglas B took the first silverware of the 2009/10 season when they beat Castletown 23-7 to clinch the BSM Manx Plate.
Town took the lead through a Nic Kieswetter try which he converted himself.
Douglas hit back from the restart when James Stamp was driven over for a try which Jon Hill converted to leave the game balanced at 7-7 at half-time.
Gwyn Davies bagged the decisive try for Douglas eight minutes into the second half and when Hill added the conversion, Douglas led 14-7.
Hill then added two penalties and a drop goal to make the game safe and Joe Whitelegg made doubly sure with a long range penalty at the end to round the scoring off.
