The Craig's Heartstrong Foundation has launched an appeal to raise £60,000 this year to equip all 34 primary schools on the Island with potentially lifesaving defibrillators.
The charity was set up in memory of Craig Lunt who passed away in 2005 suffering from a heart defect he and his familiy didn't know he had.
The campaign to buy the defibrillators is in addition to the two heart screening weekends organised each year.
Paula Lunt says it's a continuation of the work already undertaken.
So far the Foundation has distributed 55 machines:-
