Home side score in stoppage time to secure 2-1 victory
FC Isle of Man suffered late heartbreak as AFC Liverpool scored in stoppage time to secure a 2-1 win in the NWCFL Premier Division.
The Ravens fell behind in the first half when Elliot Taylor opened the scoring for the home side.
Dan Hattersley had a couple of chances either side if half time, but it was Luke Booth that levelled the scores in the second half, firing the ball into the far corner.
The Ravens pushed for a winner the closing stages as Sean Doyle hit the bar and AFC Liverpool keeper David Parkinson denied Dean Pinnington and another Doyle effort.
But it was the hosts who found the back of the net deep into injury time as Adam Killey put the ball behind before Caleb Jones scored from the resulting corner.
The result sees the Manx side suffer their first defeat in eight matches.
FC Isle of Man's next match is against Prestwich Heys at The Bowl next Saturday.
