20 players will travel to Ireland early next year
The Isle of Man squad has been confirmed for the 2026 Islands International event in a few months time.
A total of 20 players will fly the Manx flag at the fourth edition of the event which will be held at Treacy's West County Hotel in Ennis, County Clare, Republic of Ireland from 24-26 January next year.
The Isle of Man will have 13 involved in the men's tournaments and seven in the women's competitions.
First held in 2023, the Islands International is a relatively new annual event which sees the Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey and Republic of Ireland face off in a series of round-robin competitions.
Earlier this year, the 2025 tournament took place in Jersey, however due to travel disruption caused by Storm Eowyn only around half of the 20-strong Isle of Man team was able to attend in person.
This meant the Isle of Man played its fixtures as a mixture of in-person and remotely using live feeds and scoring systems.
The Manx women's side went on to finish second in their tournament whilst the men finished theirs in third place.
