Day two in Denmark beckons today (27 September)
It was a tough first day of competition for the Isle of Man darts team on Tuesday at this year's WDF World Cup taking place in Denmark.
The first tests for the Manx players was the women's singles and men's pairs.
In the women's singles, Janine Halsall, Sophie Hicklin, Jess Corlett and Margaret Kelly all suffered losses against strong opponents in their respective contests.
In the men's doubles there was also defeat for Robbie Nelson & Wayne Harrison - the other pairing of Ady Hogg & Aaron Bradley did win their Round-of-132 tie but lost out in the next phase to Wales' Cavan Phillips and Sam Cankett.
The competition - in which the Island has five male and five female players involved - is continuing today with the men's singles tournament.
