Manxman makes move ahead of 2025 season
Manx pro cyclist Max Walker has signed for UCI WorldTeam EF-Education EasyPost.
The USA-based team has confirmed the capture of the 23-year-old ahead of the 2025 season with Walker having spent time with the team at a training camp at the start of this year.
He joins after a season with the Astana Qazaqstan development team with whom he managed two stage wins during May's Tour of Japan and one stage victory during the Sibiu Cycling Tour in Romania in July.
Elsewhere he also bagged two medals whilst representing Great Britain at this year's British National Road Championships in late June, earning silver in the elite men's individual time trial and bronze in the elite men's road race.
In a team statement, Walker says he's 'super happy' to be joining the outfit, adding he's hoping to 'make the next step and do a grand tour in 2025.'
Meanwhile, the team's General Manager Jonathan Vaughters comments: "Max's results and drive have really stood out this year and impressed us."
