Manx rider involved in incident on Simac Ladies Tour last week
Isle of Man pro cyclist, Lizzie Holden is undergoing treatment after being injured in a crash during the Simac Ladies Tour last week.
UAE Team ADQ has confirmed the rider suffered two broken ribs and a broken collarbone following an incident on the third stage of the Women's WorldTour event on Thursday, 4 September.
In a statement on Saturday (6 September), the team said Holden's condition had 'stabilized' and was being transferred that day from intensive care to a regular ward.
Furthermore, UAE Team ADQ added she would undergo surgery on her broken collarbone 'in the coming days' and is wishing Holden 'a smooth and speedy recovery.'
