Cycling: CC IoM to make national road series debut

Manx team fielding four riders for latest round in Yorkshire

Cycling Club Isle of Man is set to make its debut at the British National Road Series today (20 August).

Four riders will represent the Island-based team for the third round of the men's series, the 18th edition of the Ryedale Grasscrete Grand Prix in Yorkshire.

CC IoM will have two Manx competitors taking part in the form of Corrin Leeming and Niall Quiggin - they'll be joined by experienced UK riders Nick Cooper and Cameron Jeffers.

Today's route will see the squad tackle 161.9km starting and finishing in the area of Ampleforth Abbey, involving three laps of a long circuit before five laps on a shorter circuit to finish.

The men's race will get underway at 2pm.
