Team says Manxman felt 'gastrointestinal discomfort'
Mark Cavendish was forced to withdraw mid-race in today's Milano-Torino one-day event in Italy.
His team, Astana Qazaqstan says Cavendish pulled out after experiencing 'gastrointestinal discomfort.'
For the squad there was some positive results from the contest as Alexey Lutsenko finished in tenth position whilst Cees Bol managed 19th.
Cavendish won the historic race back in 2022 becoming the first British rider to take victory in it until that point.
