Manxman makes it three wins from six races in Colne

Manx pro cyclist Matthew Bostock has secured another win to continue his strong form on this year's British Cycling National Circuit Series.

The Ribble Rebellion rider took top spot in the sixth stage of the competition at Colne (23 July) during a bunch sprint in which he edged out series leader - Robert Scott of TEKKERZ CC - who finished second.

The final podium place in third went to Jacob Scott of REMBE Pro Cycling Team Sauerland.

It's the third time Bostock has taken victory in the series so far having also won at the Dudley Grand Prix earlier this month (12 July) and in the opening round at the Otley Grand Prix on 26 June.

Furthermore it's the first time the 27-year-old has taken part in the Colne meeting since 2019 which he also won that year.

Bostock is currently second in the open standings for the series heading into the final round this Friday (26 July) at the Beverley Grand Prix.

Meanwhile, Ribble Rebellion currently sit at the top of the team classification, 49 points clear of Wheelbase CabTech Castelli in second.

Bostock wasn't the only Manx representation during Wednesday's event.

Niall Quiggin of Manx Viking Wheelers CC also took part in the elite men's race, finishing 46th overall.

Elsewhere, Tom Broadbent, Michael Faid and Nick Whitehouse contested the support race.
