Rescheduled event in Jurby takes place in 'challenging' conditions
Matthew Bostock and Ruby Oakes secured the top honours during the latest edition of an Island cycling race held on Sunday (28 January).
The Hamper Race - hosted by Manx Viking Wheelers Club - took place at the weekend after being rescheduled from 31 December, 2023 due to previous poor weather.
In a field of competitors which once again included numerous riders competing at professional levels, Bostock took overall victory ahead of fellow pro competitor Max Walker in second and Adam Kelly in third.
Elsewhere, Oakes produced a dominant ride to win the women's race and cross the line 19th overall - making up the women's podium was Sophie Smith in second whilst third spot went to Florence Griffin.
In previous years the race has attracted some of the top names in Manx cycling and beyond such as Mark Cavendish and Peter Kennaugh.
