The future of Rowany Golf Club will be decided by its members this evening.
An Extraordinary General meeting is being held to discuss a committee motion to voluntarily wind up the club.
However, since last month's announcement proposing the closure, a rescue plan has been drawn up following constructive discussions with some of the members and Port Erin Commissioners.
A pledge is being made to review the club's operations, structure, members' requirements and to develop a business plan within the next three months.
A proposal to increase membership fees, to include a rescue payment, is also being proposed.
The EGM, which is being held at the Falcon's Nest, starts at 7.30pm and will be followed by the Annual General Meeting if the proposal to wind up the club is defeated.
