Marty Kneen wins 100 selection shoot
Twenty-four shooters took part in the fourth round of the Penketh-Millar English Skeet Summer League at Blue Point yesterday (Sunday).
Junior shooter Michael Cross was the winner, scoring a fine 48/50 in windy conditions to take top spot.
James Simpson was second on 47 with a tie for third place between Juan Cowley and Marty Kneen who both scored 46.
Kneen went on to win the 100-target selection shoot and the Tommy Shimmin Memorial Trophy with a score of 96. Cross and Simpson tied for second on 93.
Results of Penketh-Millar League:
A Class: 1, Michael Cross 48/50; 2, James Simpson 47; 3=, Juan Cowley and Martin Kneen 46.
B Class: 1=, Giulio Fabrizio and Ted Kermeen 44; 3= Tom Keggen and Madeline Simpson 42.
C Class: 1, Jordan Dougherty 40; 2, Irene Stockil 38; 3, Bob Wright 35.
