Cronkbourne seal premiership title

Cronkbourne have won the Standard Bank Premiership.

They beat second placed Peel & St John’s by seven wickets at Tromode yesterday to build an unassailable lead of 30 points with only one round of matches left.

Castletown had a narrow two-wicket win at Crosby with the Town’s Wicus Wessels hitting 82 – he has now scored more than 1,000 runs in the season.

In the North, Valkyres made 189 for 6, but good batting saw Ramsey finish on 190 for 5 to take all the points.
