London Scottish 45-19 Loughborough Students
Manx professional rugby player Phil Cringle warmed up for the 2018/19 season, which gets underway on Saturday (1 Sep), with a win in a pre-season friendly this weekend.
The 24-year-old tight head prop from Ballabeg plays for London Scottish, in the Greene King Championship - the second tier of English rugby.
His side waltzed to a fairly comfortable victory against Loughborough Students, 45-19, at the Richmond Athletic Ground.
Cringle signed a contract extension with the club in April, meaning he will remain there for the upcoming season, his third with the outfit.
The team's first outing of the upcoming season is at 3pm on Saturday against Richmond, with whom they share a stadium.
The Athletic Ground in south-west London has a capacity of 4,500.
