A man who has acted as a spokesman for many of the Isle of Man's hoteliers is entering the race for a seat in the House of Keys.
Theo Fleurbaay has declared in the two-seat constituency of North Douglas.
Mr Fleurbaay says the next few years will be challenging ones for the Island and difficult decisions will need to be taken.
Among other things, he believes that a leaner government and a responsible reduction of public expenditure are vital for the future of the Isle of Man.
He also says a nation's biggest asset is its people, and services, essential to their well being, must be protected.
Mr Fleurbaay's declaration ensures there will be a contest in the constituency.
Prior to his annoucement only sitting members John Houghton and Bill Henderson had thrown their hats into the ring.
