Manxman hasn't featured at Billown meeting for more than a decade
After more than a decade away, one of the Isle of Man's top road racers is making a comeback at the Southern 100 Road Races this year.
Conor Cummins has confirmed he'll compete at this year's event in July with his own Conrod Motorsport team.
It'll mark the first time he's taken on the Billown Course meeting since 2014 and during previous appearances he earned 15 podium finishes.
Speaking at the media launch for this year's races in Castletown last weekend, Cummins says the time feels right to get back involved:
Cummins made his Southern 100 debut in 2006 and was almost a full regular between then and 2014.
The only meetings he missed at Billown during that period were in 2010 and 2013.
Along with his 15 podiums at the Southern 100, he earned a further seven places inside the top ten of races he entered.
Separately, he also appeared twice at the southern course in the Post-TT Races in 2006 and 2007, earning his only Billown win so far in the 1000cc race in the latter of those two years.
The 2026 Southern 100 Road Races are scheduled to take place from Monday, 6 July to Thursday, 9 July.
