
The seven sports for the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games were announced at today's official launch at the Villa Marina - Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Cycling, Gymnastics, Rugby Sevens and Swimming.
It's expected one thousand competitors from seventy-one countries, plus officials and spectators, will visit the Isle of Man for the week long event.
The organisers have set a target of recruiting one thousand five hundred volunteers to assist with running the games.
