David Knight's busy weekend in the United States saw him claim first and eighth places.
The KTM rider competed in the first event of the indoor enduro season - the 2007 AMA Endurocross Championship in Colorado - in front of a capacity crown. Knight started as he means to go on by winning ahead of trials rider Keith Wineland and former World Supercross champion Damon Huffman.
He then flew overnight to get to round 11 of the US GNCC series in North Carolina hoping to maintain his winning streak. However, Knight could only manage an eighth place finish after crashing in turn two and then struggling to work his way back up the field with an injured thumb.
With two rounds of the 2007 US GNCC series remaining Knight holds a 12-point lead in the overall championship standings.
