Douglas Celts got off the mark in the Manx Trophy with a 43-10 win against Emerging Nomads.

Steve Logan ran in two tries for Nomads on a tough afternoon for the away side.

In the Manx Bowl Vagabonds B beat Castletown 58-17.

Vagas’ Tom Gascoyne led the way with a six try haul in the emphatic win.

Kunal Patel and father and son duo Dave and James Emmett all bagged tries for Town with Patel adding a conversion at Poulsom Park.
