Manx Missile takes Madison Gold
Eight years after winning the Madison World Track Cycling Championship, Mark Cavendish and Sir Bradley Wiggins are kings again.
That’s after they won a thrilling closing race at the 2016 competition in London.
The pair left it late, dragging themselves back into contention by gaining a lap to get back on par with France.
There was more drama as the Manx Missile crashed and looked dazed.
But despite saying he felt dizzy, Cavendish returned to the saddle and, together with Wiggins, crossed the line ahead of the French in front of a passionate home crowd.
