Cavendish opens European season

Tirreno Adriatico challenge for Manx Missile

Isle of Man cycling superstar Mark Cavendish opens his European season today in Italy.

The Tirreno Adriatico takes place for the next week and opens with a Team Time Trial.

The Manx Missile is included in a strong looking Team Dimension Data squad alongside Steve Cummings and Edvald Boasson Hagen.

There are a couple of sprint opportunities and Cav will be up against rivals such as Elia Viviani of Team Sky and Caleb Ewan of Orica-Scott.
