After his frustrating time competing in the Madison track race at the Beijing Olympics, Manx cycling superstar Mark Cavendish will be back in road action next week.
He finished in eighth place alongside a tired looking Bradley Wiggins in Tuesday's race in China.
Next Wednesday (August 27), Cavendish will be back to his professional job with Team Columbia competing in the Tour of Ireland.
The first stage is from Dublin Docklands to Waterford - a distance of 192 kilometres.
