After three stage wins and three Waterford Crystal trophies to bring home to the Isle of Man, Manx cycling star Mark Cavendish had to settle for 47th place in Saturday's fourth stage of the Tour of Ireland.
The 23-year-old Team Columbia rider, who suffered a hip injury in a crash on Friday, still leads the green jersey competition for sprinters by five points ahead of Sunday's fifth and final stage.
However, Saturday's stage winner, Russell Downing, now has the yellow jersey.
