Isle of Man cyclist Mark Cavendish has been invited to train with the Great Britain track team with a view to competing at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
The Manx Missile recently raced at a Grand Prix event in Belgium to ensure he was eligible for the Track World Cup events this season.
He has stated he is considering a return to the track for the Games in Brasil.
However, Cavendish would have to balance team obligations on the road with his desire to get involved with the G.B. track squad in the lead-up to 2016.
Cav could be training on the boards before the end of this year if he takes up the invite.
