Cav Deserves Accolades

Isle of Man Cycling's Head of Performance Gary Hinds believes Mark Cavendish deserves all the praise he is getting following his nomination for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.

The winner will be announced during a live show from Sheffield on Sunday evening - viewers will be able to vote during the programme only when the telephone numbers are revealed.

A great deal of attention has been focused on the Manx Missile's six stage victories at the Tour de France, but Gary Hinds believes the win at the Milan to San Remo one day classic was his greatest moment of 2009.
