Mark Cavendish crashed close to the finish of the opening stage of the Tour of Britain yesterday.
He looked ready to contest a bunch sprint as the peloton rolled towards the finish at the Royal Norfolk Showground.
However, the 27-year-old suffered a fall along the narrow, winding lanes, as riders collided.
Cav managed to get back on his bike and finish the stage, but saw his Team Sky colleague Luke Rowe grab the stage win.
Meanwhile Cavendish yesterday confirmed he was looking to leave Team Sky, just a year into a three-year deal, adding that he hoped the split would be 'amicable'.
