A politician bidding to extend his 15 year tenure in the House of Keys says he would have no qualms about being appointed a government minister.
John Houghton is seeking re-election next month in North Douglas where he has served since 1996.
However, while he believes he would run any government department efficiently, he would think carefully if approached (listen to audio file below):
Mr Houghton is contesting the two seats in North Douglas with Theo Fleurbaay, Peter Hill and Bill Henderson, who is also seeking re-election.
