Corinthians defeat arch rivals
It’s going to be a repeat of last year’s Regency Travel Women’s FA Cup final.
That’s after Corinthians defeated archrivals Douglas Royal 3-2 at Ballafletcher.
Jade Burden scored the winner four minutes from time.
She had opened the scoring for Corinthians with Lauren Christian also on target before Donna Shimmin netted a brace to haul Royal level.
The other finalists, Peel, maintained pole position in the league following an 8-1 win over Douglas Athletic.
Leading 5-0 at the interval, Maxine Smalley (three), Emily Jones (three), Emma Nudd and Julia Harrison found the net for the westerners.
Athletic’s reply came via an own goal.
In the remaining league match, DHSOB secured a 2-1 win over Colby.
Shelley Simpson and Sarah Anderson netted for the Blackberry Lane side with the southerners replying via Hannah Dixon.
