In-form Manx athlete Keith Gerrard has won a bronze medal in the 5,000 metres at the Mountain West Conference Track and Field Championships in the United States.
The Peel student finished just four seconds behind the winner Justin Tyner.
His time was 14 minutes, 14.27 seconds but because the event was held at 5,000 feet above sea level, his altitude adjusted time was officially classed at 13 minutes and 50.77 seconds.
His University of New Mexico team were second in the team competition.
It's also been confirmed that his 10,000 metre performance in California recently ranks him fourth in the student rankings in the United States and makes him the only British athlete to have achieved the qualifying standard for the 2011 World Student Games, to be held in China in August.
