Manxman hoping to avenge first pro defeat in Gibraltar
Isle of Man professional boxer Mathew Rennie has confirmed he'll be back in action for his first bout of 2025 next month.
After suffering his first pro defeat in the sport nearly three months ago, 'Magic' Rennie will return to the ring at Europa Point Arena in Gibraltar on Saturday, 29 March.
His opponent for the event is yet to be confirmed.
The Island-born fighter will be hoping to avenge a points loss to Sean Noakes when both faced off for the English Welterweight Title at Wembley Arena in London on 7 December, 2024.
That result is the only major blemish on Rennie's pro record to date which also includes 14 wins and one draw.
Elsewhere, his brother Sam Rennie is preparing for his third fight in the professional ranks in Australia which will also be held next month.
Currently with two wins in his first two bouts, Sam's next test will be against Dedy Imprax in a Super Featherweight contest on Friday, 14 March at Metro City in Northbridge.
