Manx fighters will face East Midlands team at Villa Marina
The inaugural edition of a new boxing tournament on the Isle of Man will take place next month, it's been confirmed.
Isle of Man Boxing and Fitness Academy says the first ever Manx Challenge Cup will be held at the Villa Marina Royal Hall on Saturday, 22 February.
A Manx ABC squad will take on fighters from an East Midlands select team with 15 bouts planned in total.
Announcing the occasion, the academy adds it promises to offer 'Olympic style amateur boxing' in an 'all-action affair'.
It'll be the first show Manx ABC has hosted of its type in 2025 having held two during 2024.
The first of those saw Island competitors take on Yorkshire in February last year before they welcomed Home Counties squad the following month, with both events also being held at the Villa Marina.
