Doubt about availability to last into New Year
The Island’s FA says worries about the state of the Bowl’s pitch means it’s already making alternative plans for game being held next year.
This weekend’s Boxing Day Railway Cup Final between Peel and St Geroge’s has been switched to Ballafletcher after flooding made the traditional venue unplayable.
Tony Mepham of the Isle of Man FA says although the pitch has suffered major damage, it’s still difficult to estimate just how much repair work will be needed.
He says the Railway Cup Final may be the first of a string of games that have to relocate:
