For the second consecutive year, the trophy for ‘Best Event’ in the MSA Asphalt Rally Championship has been won by the RBS International Manx Rally.
Competitors had a total of six events to choose from but, in a repeat of 2006, it was the Manx that came out on top. The trophy was presented to David Sayle, the Chairman of organisers Manx Auto Sport Ltd, at the annual Awards Dinner & Presentation in the Midlands by Mike Broad, President of the BTRDA who promote the Championship.
John Skinner, Clerk of the Course of the RBS International Manx Rally, was delighted that the trophy would be staying in the Isle of Man for another twelve months. “On behalf of all the team, I’m really pleased that we have been voted ‘Best Event’ once again. Our sponsors, RBS International, were very impressed with the vote of confidence last year and I’m now looking forward to telling them that we’ve done it again!”
Plans for the 2008 RBS International Manx Rally, which will take place on 9/10th May, are coming together and, as a qualifying round of both the MSA Asphalt & MSA Gravel Rally Championships, a top-class entry is assured.
