T.T. Rider Liaison Officer John Barton is having an operation today to set fractures sustained in a crash at the Ian Watson Spring Cup Road Races at Scarborough on Sunday.
He suffered a broken shoulder and arm, plus bruised lungs, in the incident.
John has been able to sit out of bed at Scarborough Hospital and is keen to thank the medics at the track and where he is for their care and attention.
He also says he is looking forward to catching up with everyone back on the island very soon.
