University retains titles at long course championships
Manx swimmer Charlotte Atkinson helped Loughborough University retain its titles at the British Universities and Colleges Sport long course national championships at the weekend.
The 19-year-old took gold in the women's 200m butterfly, finishing in a time of 2.12.09.
Loughborough retained the men's, womens, and overall titles at the championship.
Atkinson has enjoyed three weekends competing for Loughborough University where she won 8 Gold and 2 silver in all Butterfly distances and set a new Senior Island Record in 200m Butterfly.
Charlotte achieved Isle of Man Swimming consideration standards for Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2018 in every swim, and also achieved Olympic Trials qualification times for Rio 2016 in 100 and 200m Butterfly.
The British Swimming Olympic Trials take place in Glasgow this April.
