Track cleaned after flooding
The athletics track at the National Sports Centre will reopen on Monday.
It has been closed along with a number of indoor and outdoor facilities after being damaged in the severe flooding on Thursday 3rd December.
Specialist equipment has been used this week to sanitise and clean the surface.
An issue with the drains has also been addressed.
Replacement sand for the long jump pits has been ordered but it is estimated it won't be delivered for eight weeks.
The high jump, pole vault and discus areas remain out of action until replacement netting and landing mats arrive.
