Over 700 expected to contest three-day event
A record turnout is expected at this weekend's 2025 Isle of Man Easter Festival of Running.
Organisers say 720 entries have been registered for the three-day event in the south and west of the Island from Good Friday (18 April) to Easter Sunday (20 April).
In 2024 the meeting - which attracts hundreds of off-Island competitors as well as local athletes - celebrated its 60th anniversary.
Event Director Chris Quine says running in general is seeing an uptake in popularity right now:
The event itself gets underway tomorrow evening (18 April) with the Port Erin 10k.
Starting at Port Erin harbour at 7pm on Good Friday, participants will take a route down the town's promenade and out of Port Erin before a coastal path towards Port St Mary.
The circuit then loops back around to finish at Port Erin harbour.
On Easter Saturday (19 April) the action then moves to the west of the Island for the Peel Hill Race, starting at 2.15pm for male runners and 3.15pm for female competitors.
The men compete over a four-mile course and the women over a three-mile route with the races held separately except for the first and last half-mile of the course.
The final event on Easter Sunday (20 April) is in the Manx capital - the Douglas 5K will involve a road race up and down Douglas Promenade.
The ladies race will start that day at 10.30am with the men's race due to start at 11.20am.
