Dunwell makes top-10 in 10,000m race walk in Coventry
Manx race walker, Tom Partington, has claimed a silver medal whilst competing at the Molly Barnett Open Track Walks in the UK.
During the men's 10,000m walk event held in Coventry on Saturday (4 March), Partington claimed second place and a medal spot with a time of 46 minutes 48.37 seconds.
Neil Wade of Manx Harriers took fourth spot in the same race in a time of 54 minutes 34.33 seconds.
Meanwhile, in the women's 10,000m competition, fellow Island competitor Mia Dunwell put in a strong showing to take eighth place completing the contest in 56 minutes 34.65 seconds.
Elsewhere, there was a positive showing from some of the Isle of Man's youth athletes at the same event.
Timothy Perry posted a time of 11 minutes 0.56 seconds in the U13 2000m walk whilst Lilee Fletcher-Merryweather took first place in the U13 girls contest over the same distance, posting 12 minutes 42.47 seconds.
