A half-marathon victory, a US meeting record and personal bests have been among a number of strong performances by Isle of Man athletes across the world in the last few days.

Eight senior competitors have been involved in a series of different events including two out in the USA.

Across the Atlantic, David Mullarkey won the 10,000m title at the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Championships in Sacramento, California whilst representing Northern Arizona University.

His time of 29 minutes, 23.03 seconds also broke a meeting record which had stood for 35 years.

Also out in the United States, pole vaulter Glen Quayle managed a joint-third placed finish at the Big West Conference meeting in Long Beach, California with a best jump of 4.90 metres.

In the UK, Corrin Leeming impressed as he continues his recovery from injury to win the recent Chester Half-Marathon on 18 May in one hour, seven minutes and 21 seconds.

Meanwhile, Ollie Lockley and Erika Lockley both took on the recent Great Manchester Run 10km race on 18 May - Ollie finished 13th in a time of 29 minutes and 26 seconds with Erika posting a time of 41 minutes and 24 seconds.

On the same day, a duo of Manx athletes in the form of Regan Corrin and Meghan Pilley were taking part in the Loughborough International.

Represent Great Britain Under-20's, Corrin of Manx Harriers managed an outdoor personal best in long jump of 7.26 metres to finish fifth.

After setting a new personal best in the 200m only a day earlier, Pilley came close to besting her personal benchmark in the 100m, clocking a time of 12.23 seconds.

Elsewhere, the Isle of Man had two representatives of Orran Smith and Emily Mylchreest in the Ultra-Trail Snowdonia event from 16-18 May.

In the 100-mile race there, Smith finished 14th overall in a time of 30 hours, 38 minutes and 58 seconds which also made him the highest finisher in the 45-49 age bracket.

Mylchreest competed in the 25km race, finishing sixth in the women's race and 61st overall in three hours, ten minutes and 37 seconds.
