A large Isle of Man turnout is expected to take part in one of the major events on the UK's marathon calendar.
Multiple Manx competitors - based both on and off-Island - are due to be part of the 2026 Manchester Marathon today (19 April).
Isle of Man athletics correspondent, Dave Griffiths, says there were nearly 40 known Manx entries into the meetings as of this Friday (17 April).
What's more, he explains there's changes this year for those involved in this and those who may also have an eye on next week's iconic London marathon:
The Manchester Marathon is the second largest marathon in the UK and involves athletes from across the world.
A record-high of 42,000 participants is expected to take part in this year's meeting.
The racing is due to get underway in waves from 8.55am.
