It looks like another day of consolidation for the Manx Missile as the Tour de France once again heads over the massive peaks of the Pyrenees today.
Yesterday Mark Cavendish finished way down in 137th on the mountainous stage seven from Barcelona to Andorra.
But it made no difference to Cav's one point lead over Thor Hushovd in the race for the green jersey as the big Norwegian sprinter came 171st.
Today sees the riders tackle the 176km from Andorra to Saint Girons in the South West of France.
Stage eight includes two category one climbs, some of the steepest on the tour, and one category two.
