Another bronze for Bellis

Johnny Bellis added to his medal collection from the 2007 British Senior Track Championships on Saturday evening.

He was part of the 100% ME team who were favourites for the Team Pursuit, although qualifying for the final was a little more dramatic than expected. The four riders were well into their stride and riding smoothly towards the fastest qualifying time when leading rider Bellis swung up the track in the north bend at the end of his stint on the front, clipping the wheel of second rider Andy Tennant who came crashing down onto the concrete infield, bringing down the rest of his team mates in the process. After repairs to the track, all four dusted themselves off to complete their qualification.

The finals saw the 100% ME quartet making up for their morning dramas with a swift catch of the Agiskoviner Team, to claim a well-deserved gold medal.

He won a bronze medal in the Men's Pursuit event on Friday night to add to his bronze in the 40K Points Race, having won a World Road Race under-23 bronze in Germany just five days earlier.

Junior rider Peter Kennaugh put in another outstanding performance to finish in sixth place in the Men's Pursuit, having claimed a bronze in the men's 20K Scratch Race
