The youngest candidate so far in next month's House of Keys general election says he won't be a career politician.
Lawrie Hooper, 24, is an accountant who hopes to bring a fresh, new perspective to politics in the Isle of Man.
He is standing in the northern constituency, despite living in East Douglas.
Mr Hooper doesn't believe that being an MHK should be a job for life (listen to audio file below):
The other candidates in Ramsey are outgoing MHKs Allan Bell and Anne Craine, and challengers Linda Bowers-Kasch, John McDonough and Leonard Singer.
Nominations day is next Tuesday, August 30, and polling day in Thursday, September 29.
