
South Douglas MHK David Cretney says he has had to make some tough decisions as a senior politician, but has never been tempted to quit.
The current minister for community, culture and leisure has represented the constituency since 1985 and will be defending his seat again in the House of Keys general election in September.
Mr Cretney has been in the spotlight in recent months over job losses within his department and has said it has been 'the most difficult time' he has experienced.
But, on Mandate this morning (Thursday), he said he had never been tempted to call it a day:
