Voters in Malew and Santon are concerned about the knock-on effect changes in the VAT agreement with the United Kingdom could have locally.
That's according to political activist Eddie Power, who runs the 'MHKs They Work For You' website.
The southern constituency was the focus of Manx Radio's election debate this evening (Thursday), with the three candidates all taking part.
Mr Power, who is also a member of the Ballasalla and District Residents' Association, says voters are worried about the impact of the huge reduction in revenue on spending at a local level (listen to audio file below):
In alphabetical order, the three candidates in Malew and Santon are Graham Cregeen, John Hanson and Gareth Kelly, and the constituency debate will be repeated on Manx Radio's FM service from 8.05am on Friday.
Polling day is Thursday, September 29.
