Island footballer impresses at Ohio State
Manx footballer Liam Doyle has had the achievements of his senior year at a US college recognised.
The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has announced its All-Americans for NCAA Division One men’s teams, with Liam being picked for the third team.
He's been attending Ohio State University, one of the 'Big Ten' institutions, which compete at the highest level of college sports.
The players who've been chosen will be honoured at the NSCAA All-America Luncheon in Baltimore in mid-January, which ties in with the 2016 MLS SuperDraft.
Liam is also being tipped by some US college football pundits to be in line for a place in the draft, which could see him picked by one of the professional league's franchises.
