Local rider receives stellar support
A former world 24-hour mountain bike champion is supporting a local competitor in this year's Longest Day Longest Ride event.
Peter Nadin, who won his title two years ago, is having a year off the sport but is over on the Island to assist Adrian Beale.
The event at Conrhenny Plantation sees participants complete as many laps around the course as possible in over a 24-hour period.
More than 150 people are taking part, whether that is in teams, pairs or as a solo rider.
Peter told Manx Radio Sport it is essential for the solo riders to have a good support crew around them:
