2026 Manx International Classic Trial taking place

Two days of action being held across today and tomorrow (29-30 Aug)

The 28th edition of the Manx International Classic Trial is taking place across the west and north of the Island this weekend.

A full entry of riders is taking on 30-mile course with a mix of Twinshock and Pre-65 machinery navigatinga wide range of classic sections throughout Saturday and Sunday (29-30 August).

The event began on Peel Promenade at 8.30am this morning (29 August) with competitors also due to face testing phases at the likes of Peel Hill, Ballacallin Farm, Slieau Whallian Plantation, Little London and Lherghydhoo before returning to the quayside in Peel to round out Saturday.

Tomorrow (30 August),  proceedings will get underway on Mooragh Promenade in Ramsey from 7.30am followed by a tour of the northern region which includes sections at Glen Duff Quarry, Tholt-y-Will Quarry, Cronk Garrow, Sky Hill Plantation, Ballure Plantation and North Barrule before returning to Ramsey.

The Pre-65 winner in 2025, James Harland is among the rider lineups in that class along with former winners such as Kiaran Hankin, Phil Houghton and Paul Heys.

In the Twinshocks, Juan Knight and Darren Wasley are expected to be among those battling for top honours.

There's also a host of former road racing stars signed up to be involved including Mick Grant and Ian Duffus whilst, more broadly, there's international representation throughout the meeting with some riders hailing from the likes of Italy, Germany, Spain and the USA.

Once the action has come to a close, a prize presentation will be held at the Manx Legion in Douglas from 8.30pm on Sunday night.
