2025 Southern 100 schedule announced

Billown meeting celebrating 70th anniversary this year

The qualifying and race schedule for this year's Southern 100 Road Races has been announced.

The 2025 edition of the Billown Couse meeting is due to take place from Monday, 7 July for four days up to Thursday, 10 July.

The first three days (Monday, 7 July; Tuesday, 8 July and Wednesday, 9 July) will involve evening sessions with roads around the course closed between 6pm and no later than 9.40pm.

Meanwhile, the final day of action on Thursday, 10 July will involve two sets of road closures around the course - first between 9am and no later than 12.45pm and then again from 1.30pm until no later than 4.45pm.

It's also a landmark year for the event which is celebrating its 70th anniversary having first started in 1955.

Day One (Monday, 7 July)

Proceedings will begin with a Newcomers Familiarisation Lap before the first qualifying sessions for all solo and sidecar outfits.

Day Two (Tuesday, 8 July)

This will be the first combined qualifying and race day of the meeting.

Qualifying will be held for solo non-qualifiers as well as supersport and sidecars before the first two races take place, the seven-lap Peel Holdings Senior Race followed by the six-lap Mike Kerruish Plumbing & Heating Lightweight Race.

Day Three (Wednesday, 9 July)

Four more evening races are planned featuring the Ellan Vannin Fuels Senior Race; JCK Limited 600cc B Race and H&H Motorcycles 600cc Race, each over seven laps.

The evening's action is then due to conclude with the Ace Hire Sidecar Race over six laps.

Day Four (Thursday, 10 July)

Five races are penned in on the morning schedule - the JCK Limited' 600cc B Race over seven laps; S&S Motors 600cc Race over seven laps; the GH Corlett Solo Founders Race over six laps; the Steam Packet Senior Race over seven laps and Station Garage Lightweight Consolation Race over six laps.

Roads around the course will reopen briefly no later than 12.45pm before shutting again at 1.30pm for the afternoon session.

First up in the afternoon will be the seven-lap Bettridge's 600cc Challenge Race followed by the six-lap Bushy's Lightweight Race.

After that will be the two big finales to the meeting - the Ellan Vannin Fuels Solo Championship Race over nine laps before the Daryl Blake Construction Sidecar Championship Race across eight laps.

Once racing has concluded, the prize presentation will take place in Castletown Square from 8.30pm
